Warden
FrontStartShield Wall (taunt) / Shield Bash (1-turn stun) / Mountain Stance (40% damage taken reduction)
The new-player standard. The only reliable rear-line insurance — without him your mage doesn't see chapter two.
Eight classes, kits and roles — Warden through Paladin, with unlock chapters.
Kit reads from the launch build (Sept 1, 2026). Roles are ours — the game tags classes only loosely. [RECON] marks numbers inherited from day-one theory posts, pending patch.
Shield Wall (taunt) / Shield Bash (1-turn stun) / Mountain Stance (40% damage taken reduction)
The new-player standard. The only reliable rear-line insurance — without him your mage doesn't see chapter two.
Piercing Shot (ignores cover) / Hunter's Mark (+30% damage taken) / Trap Kit
The steady physical carry. Traps are the key to the terrain page — funnel enemies into a choke and end them.
Fireball (splash) / Frost Lock (freezes terrain) / Arcane Overload (self-harm for burst)
Highest ceiling, lowest floor. The Overload theory post ignited day one — see the builds page.
Mass Heal / Consecrated Arms (+attack) / Martyrdom (redirect ally damage)
The survival floor. Martyrdom + Warden is the shared chassis of both speed and endurance routes.
Backstab (3x damage) / Smoke Veil (combat exit) / Lockpick & Trap Disarm
Unlocked mid-chapter one. Lockpick reroutes half the event table — the events page marks which options need him.
War Song (+2 party initiative) / Negotiator's Verse (event cost reduction) / Lore Collecting (bonus legacy points)
The event-runner's core. Negotiator's Verse turns risky options into free rolls — the "bard party" is event players' default.
Thornfield (terrain lockdown) / Thundercall / Wildshape (bear-form melee)
Unlocked in chapter two. Thornfield is the strongest terrain tool in the book — the devs said tactics must evolve with the world; this is the answer.
Radiant Judgment (3x vs undead) / Oath (party survives one death) / Oathbreak (sacrifice long-game for burst)
Unlocked chapter three. Oath is the finale's insurance; Oathbreak is the top-10 speedrun key — two readings of one skill.

Without a Warden, your mage doesn't see chapter two.
